Network & Infrastructure Engineer

Role Description

As a Network & Infrastructure Engineer, you will design, deploy, and support secure, high-performance infrastructures that connect people, systems, and cloud environments.
You will ensure reliability, scalability, and optimization across hybrid setups, enabling clients to operate efficiently and securely.
Your work directly supports the backbone of modern IT operations – where uptime and security meet innovation.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain LAN/WAN/VPN networks, VLANs, and routing topologies
• Deploy and manage network devices (switches, routers, firewalls) from vendors such as Cisco, Fortinet, HP, or Ubiquiti
• Implement and maintain hybrid and multi-cloud network integrations (Azure, AWS, etc.)
• Monitor network performance and automate alerting and troubleshooting processes
• Integrate network security best practices and ensure compliance with EU standards
• Collaborate with cloud and security teams on connectivity and resilience projects
• Maintain network documentation and contribute to process improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Networking, or equivalent experience
• 3–5 years of experience in network and infrastructure administration
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, VLAN segmentation, and VPN configuration
• Experience with network monitoring tools (Zabbix, PRTG, SolarWinds, etc.)
• Familiarity with firewalls, SD-WAN and load balancing solutions
• Understanding of compliance frameworks (GDPR, ISO 27001)
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills; English proficiency required, Dutch is a plus

Required Certifications

  • CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA
  • Microsoft Azure Network Engineer (AZ-700) or equivalent from AWS or Fortinet – advantage
  • Cisco CCNP, Fortinet NSE, or similar vendor certifications – advantage
